Nearly ALL the boring details are resolved beforehand. Light & shadow are studied at the exact hour you’ll be standing there. Rain plans are already in place. Travel time is tested. Portrait locations are mapped for comfort & structure. Lighting setups are built & refined. Architectural framing opportunities & quieter pockets away from crowds are identified. The intention isn’t to script the day into a stiff corner. It’s to remove time consuming guesswork & allow only room for creative artful ideas to bloom on the day of. When logistics are handled in advance, something changes. Family portraits feel organized, not overwhelming. Transitions stay calm. & you’re free to be present, not lost to a fog having you miss your big day. The preparation is deliberate.
