Banff Springs Fairmont Wedding . A+M

It is with GREAT pleasure that our blog presents Ali & Mick documented as Man & Wife in all their happiness!!
We absolutely adore this couple & couldn’t have dreamt of a better location than THE Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel (again, castle).
This beautiful venue has been around for 128 years & most definitely will mirror its longevity onto this very lucky & happy life this
couple will share together. With family traveling from both New Zealand & Ontario, the trip was flooded with love & laughter.

When we spoke with our bride we had one question. What was your most memorable part of the day?  Here’s what she had to say..

“Our wedding day was much more than just celebrating our vows. We knew that it would be a chance to have both sides of our families & all our
friends together at once which is something we realize is entirely rare!

We chose a bucket list location like the iconic Banff Springs Hotel in the mountains to ensure everyone we love so dearly would have a tough time
checking off “respectfully decline”. It also didn’t hurt that Mick & I had First met all too close by at the Calgary Stampede making it all very nostalgic!
Our hearts were so warmed to see that 60 people had traveled all the way from New Zealand & 60 from all over Canada to join us in our celebration.

The night before our wedding I felt like a princess in her castle Turret. We stayed in an amazing two story room at the top of the castle that looked
down into the bow valley. Word has it that Marilyn Munroe stayed there while filming in the Rockies for 6 months!

The wedding day was EVERYTHING we could ask for. The morning threatened & came through with rain until the second I began walking down
the isle with my father.  Thank goodness for Evelyn Clark, my wedding planner, who had successfully pushed for the ceremony to be outdoors even
until the very last second (20 minutes to ceremony!!!)

As predicted the night was full of laughs with the occasional Canadian trying to
make out what the Kiwi’s were saying   …& vice versa.

Later my Grand Mama proved that she could dance ALL night & double lifts were attempted with zero casualties.
By the end “One more song! One more song!” echoed in the hall & Mick and I joined the band on stage for “Don’t Stop Believing”.

To bring it full circle ALL our friends & family were joining us for a day at the Stampede for some rodeo action with more laughs & memories.”

Once more, Congratulations to Ali & Mick!! We hope you enjoy your day captured through our lenses!
It, to us, was nothing short of Spectacular!
