So … we REALLY hit a jackpot with this creatively risky & fun couple!
Kyra & Adam are effortlessly cool & their day was a total show stopper.Β Leather jackets, sleeve after sleeve of tattoos, chic floral masks, a gigantic bird statue by the lake & WIND!! My goodness the wind!!!
It’s not everyday you ask your couple to write on separate pieces of paper which kitchen product they’d classify each other as & they BOTH write “Ladle”. Needless to say, it made for the most genuine & boastful laugh seconds before the reveal.
These are just some of the highlights of this moody & modern fall wedding. The bride is fascinated with covens & witchcraft, so the Designer wanted the decor to have an eerie entrancing energy to it that almost put their guests under this romantic and dark spell. I dare state she succeeded entirely.
The eclectic Dunlop street in downtown Barrie offered the perfect atmosphere including a cozy cafe called Bohemia where the couple stopped for a hot beverage to warm up on this interestingly gloomy fall day.
The bride’s gown featured a particularly lengthy train that quite literally stopped traffic in a very harmless & fun way.
Later the bridal party got lost in the deep orange, yellows & reds of a Barrie forest with the addition of some smoke bomb festivities!
In the end, the very dramatic black on black reception held at the Maclaren ART centre, highlighted the couple at their own table in the centre of the room where their family & friends celebrated their love over comedic speeches & a “melt your heart” ballad written & sang by the father of the groom.
Thank you Kyra & Adam for allowing us to capture your hauntingly beautiful wedding & we hope you enjoy the storyline we’ve put together for you!
We asked the bride what her most memorable part of the day was, here’s what she had to say —
“The most memorable part of the day was definitely when our dance party kicked off and we got to immerse ourselves into the celebration and really connect with all our guests. In a world where weβre always so rushed, it felt like the first time throughout the day that we got to take a step back, relax and really take everything in; the love, the laughter, and the happiness coming from the community of people we hold so close to our hearts. The day was truly magical and we would relive it over and over again if we could!”
